Description

The Business Intelligence and Reporting Analyst will serve as the front-line resource in managing reporting requests and requirements for the Cook reporting team.

The Business Intelligence and Reporting Analyst will serve as the front-line resource in managing reporting requests and requirements for the Cook reporting team. The Business Intelligence and Reporting Analyst will interact regularly with internal business customers to capture and understand reporting and data service requests, they will help define and clarify requirements, propose, define, and develop appropriate solutions, and provide feedback to the reporting team. They will perform quality review of developed solutions and ensure proper user acceptance.

Responsibilities:

  • To be a Key Business Intelligence Report Developer;
o Understand business challenges and propose technical solutions that can help

o Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues and perform root cause analysis

o Assist in prioritization of reporting and data requests

o Help create and promote an environment of self-service capabilities

o Ensuring a globally consistent approach to reporting at all times.

o Coordinate end user review and acceptance of the developed solutions

o Provide User and Report Writer training to other employees.

o Ensure proper documentation for our processes.

o Developing and maintaining Core Reports for an allocated 'Position.'

o Continuous learning in the areas of Business Intelligence report writing and related infrastructure.

o Ad hoc support in relevant business area

  • Work as a member of global reporting project teams;
o Liaising with IT and other members of the reporting team, to help create efficient reporting systems, including data validation, documentation and investigation of technical issues.

  • Be a Project Manager on Business Intelligence projects.
o Manage Business Intelligence projects; which include project scoping, follow up, making sure milestones are met, testing and rollout plans.

  • Provide assistance with Month End Sales, Financial and Functional Reporting.
  • Ensure that Cook's Code of Conduct is considered in all business matters carried out on Cook's behalf.
Qualifications/Requirements:

  • BS degree in Business, Computer Science, Information Systems or related field
  • 5 years in reporting and/or analysis role
  • Working experience with end user Report design, development and implementation with a strong focus on SAP Business Objects and Qlik
  • Microsoft Office proficiency (Excel, Access, Powerpoint, Word)
  • Previous experience with project managing IT project.
  • Ability to work on several projects and task at the same time.
  • Good understanding of SQL and relational database applications .
  • Demonstrated ability to drive to deadlines, balancing multiple priorities, and ensuring quality standards
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and innovative thinking skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal, listening, verbal, and written communication skills. Ability to communicate technical details to technical and non-technical resources. Ability to interact effectively with people at all levels and functions across the business.
  • Ability to handle customers in a professional manner when under pressure.
  • Willingness and availability to travel on company business.
