Solvency II, in application since January 2016, reforms prudential supervision of insurance and reinsurance undertakings in Europe. The Commission already announced its intention to review by 2018 the standard formula for the calculation of capital requirements. The expert will conduct analysis and prepare policy recommendations on insurance and reinsurance matters, brief the Director General or the Commissioner when they meet with stakeholders, and participate in high-level meetings, under the supervision of an official.
